Portsmith Vehicle Cradles come with our versatile swivel mount for attache directly to the dash or other surface. Hole patterns on the swivel mount as well as on the cradle body are AMPS pattern compatible.
Two wiring configurations are available: 12V/24V accessory plug (cigarette lighter) for quick installs, or “Hot-Swap” version for maximum flexibility. Hot-Swap cradles connect to either a 12V/24V accessory plug or a hard-wire pig tail.
Portsmith vehicle charging cradles are part of Slot-System, an innovative approach to cradles and docks. When fleets need to upgrade to new handhelds, the cradle side and bottom inserts can be replaced, without the need to purchase a new cradle (compatibility limitations apply).
Portsmith power protection circuitry ensures reliable, fast, safe charging of your fleet handhelds. Our vehicle docks provide 5V at 3.0 Amps to the device, allowing the unit to charge at the maximum rate.
Slot System applies the same proven cradle cups to a wide range of use-cases. The cradle cups are mounted to a variety of application specific elements to make up a complete cradle for a specific use case. The cradle cups themselves are also modular, allowing for lower cost compatibility switching when migrating to new handhelds (limitations apply).
